Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr (@awadallah) was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel he served as Vice President of Product Intelligence Engineering at Yahoo!, and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence. Amr joined Yahoo after they acquired his first startup, VivaSmart, in July of 2000. Amr holds a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Alexander Stojanovic is a Vice President at Oracle, where he founded, designed and is driving the business strategy for the new Oracle Data Enrichment Cloud Service. Prior to Oracle, he was General Partner and Chief Scientist at Frost Data Capital, where he focused on cloud analytics platforms, semantic search and exploratory data analysis platforms. During his time with Frost Data Capital, Mr. Stojanovic co-founded Ubix Labs, a scalable real-time analytics cloud startup, and was involved from inception with the business and technical evolution of MAANA, a Hadoop-based semantic indexing and search startup. Previously, he was a General Manager and Senior Partner at Microsoft, where he founded the HDInsight project to deliver Apache Hadoop on Azure and Windows platforms and was instrumental in defining Microsoft's Big Data strategy and Open Source Software engagement model. Before Microsoft, Mr. Stojanovic was Director of Engineering at BEA Systems, where he was co-architect of the market-leading Weblogic Integration 8.1 product.

Bill Schmarzo is the Chief Technology Officer, Enterprise Information Management & Analytics, at EMC Global Services and is the author of "Big Data: Understanding How Data Powers Big Business." Previously, Mr. Schmarzo was the vice president of Analytics at Yahoo, where he was responsible for the development of Yahoo's Advertiser and Website analytics products, including the delivery of "actionable insights" through a holistic user experience. Before that, he oversaw the Analytic Applications business unit at Business Objects, including the development, marketing and sales of their industry-defining analytic applications.
Dr. Kirk Borne is the Principal Data Scientist for the NextGen Analytics and Data Science section of the Strategic Innovation Group within Booz Allen Hamilton. Previously Kirk served as a Professor at George Mason University in the graduate (Ph.D. Computational Science and Informatics) program and undergraduate (B.S. Data Science) program for 12 years. Kirk has worked on various NASA contracts — as research scientist, a manager on a large science data system contract and as the Hubble Telescope Data Archive Project Scientist. His PhD is in Astronomy from Caltech. He has applied his expertise in science and large data systems with numerous agencies and firms, focusing on data for discovery, decision support and innovation across many different domains and industries. Mr. Shatzkamer recently joined Brocade in 2014 after 15 years at Cisco, where he served as Distinguished Systems Engineer for the US Service Provider market, working closely with mobile carriers, digital media providers, CDN providers, and cloud providers to deliver mobile solutions to customers.
Mr. Shatzkamer holds 50+ issued and pending patents related to all areas of work. Mr. Shatzkamer holds a Bachelors of Engineering from University of Florida, a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University, and a Masters of System Design and Management from MIT.
Mr. Shatzkamer is a regular speaker at trade shows and industry forums and has published two books discussing the architectures, designs, technologies, and protocols shaping the future of the Mobile Internet, from RAN to services. Mr. Shatzkamer is also active on a number of Advisory Boards related to his industry experience.
